What is apologetics?

The Oxford Dictionary defines “Apologetics” as “Reasoned arguments or writings in justification of something.” Apologetics comes from the Greek word apologia, “to give an answer.” A Christian “apologetic” is in this sense a defense of the Christian faith we present when we are questioned about it. Explain International focuses on explaining the Christian faith in a manner that we hope (in the words of Ravi Zacharias) will help the thinker believe and the believer think.

Explain International exists to address questions that people like you may have concerning the faith. We will make every effort to respond to every question we receive although it may take some time before we respond due to the volume of questions we are receiving. Every week, we will also respond via YouTube in our “Comment of the Week” videos [YouTube](https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCm53095xSt5vAwP8sUb1SIQ) and your question may be chosen. Either way, regardless of whether it is answered over YouTube or over email, we will ensure you get the help you need in dealing with your question.

What is Explain International’s church affiliation or denomination?

Explain International is not affiliated with any particular denomination or church. As an independent ministry, we seek to work in partnership with churches and organizations across different denominations.

What denominations do the speakers belong to?

Our speakers Mark Tan and Samuel Nesan are both Baptists. Mark Tan takes a Molinistic and Evidential approach to apologetics while Samuel holds to a Reformed and Presuppositional persuasion.
