Explain Tamil
Explain Tamil is the Tamil-language division of Explain International, committed to equipping Tamil-speaking Christians to understand, articulate, and defend the Gospel.
Founded in 2023, this ministry has been actively engaging churches across Malaysia with sound biblical teaching in the Tamil language.
Birth of Explain Tamil
The Tamil ministry of Explain International was born out of necessity and officially began on November 4, 2023, when Explain International was invited to conduct a one-day seminar in Penang. The event, endorsed by the Penang Tamil Council of Churches, focused on the subject of the Gospel.
The following Sunday, the host church invited the team again to preach at their Sunday service — and from that moment, the Explain Tamil ministry was born.
Milestones & Growth
2023 - 2025
Since that first event in 2023, Explain Tamil has conducted seminars and talks in Penang, Klang, Johor Bahru, Petaling Jaya, Dengkil, Ipoh, Menglembu, Rantau, Taiping, Kulim, Buntong, Kuala Kangsar, Subang Jaya, Kuantan, Teluk Intan, Bayan Lepas, Sungai Petani, and Melaka — addressing crucial topics such as the Gospel, Evangelism, the Trinity, the Deity of Christ, and Overcoming Sin.
By God’s grace, as of October 2025, we have held over thirty Tamil meetings across West Malaysia, with more planned in the coming months.
The Need for Sound Teaching
In recent years, Malaysia has seen a growing influence of cults and heretical teachings among Tamil-speaking communities. In August 2024, our team observed a Jehovah’s Witness convention in Sunway Pyramid Convention Centre, where over 3,000 members were being trained to defend their beliefs. Many of their workers have even learned Tamil to reach our local communities.
Likewise, followers of William Branham have been actively spreading false teachings in Kuala Selangor, Teluk Intan, Melaka, Rawang, Penang, Sungai Buloh, Brickfields, and Petaling Jaya — denying the Trinity and teaching baptism in Jesus’ name only.
These developments underscore the urgent need for sound biblical teaching among Tamil-speaking churches. Explain Tamil aims to equip believers to recognize and refute these errors through training on the Gospel, the Trinity, and the Deity of Christ.
